Apes

I visited the local zoo last week (first batch) and today again (second batch).
Drawings done with various tools, the first ones are mostly done with charcoal and pencil, while the second ones are done with watersolutable Faber Castell pencils...
I should definitely use them more often.

Different gorillas and bonobos. And a keeper with a feeding bottle.
Gorillas are everywhere equally hairy and darker, while bonobos are more or less bald and have those huuuuge awesome sideburns.

Minisheezl and Minixeehsl Walkthrough

1.) Digital scetch

2.) Outlines made via Illustrator, the heart is shaped after the Portal: Companion cube heart which can be seen in the custom shapes of Photoshop. I took it from there.

3.) Flats made in Gimp where did those white dots come from... ._.

4.) Basic shading, made in Gimp too

5.) More detailled shading, used Gimp again

6.) And finally, a gif out of those images above.

Anthro Rick Walkthrough

My current project, a gift art for Rattemacchiato. It's his oc Rick.

This is how far I've gotten yet.

1.) Pencil drawing

2.) Outlines made with the tablet

3.) Removal of the pencil lines

4.) Flat colors

5.) Raw shading using the tablet again

6.) Finished throusers, started to work on the tail, used vectors

7.) Tail gets more natural, selected the areas without lines
and added a few highlights to them, removed vector lines

8.) More shading on the fur

Next step: Adding highlights on the fur, still need to choose a background and to create it.
